CHIOU, YI-WEI DESIGN

The architecture will eventually become a part of nature, and not a human-made structure anymore. As an architecture designer, we have to think about how to design a structure which can fit into the natural environment. In my point of view, architecture is a type of topography; it can be a creek, mountain or cave, sometimes the river will flow through the structure as we have seen in the valley.

Landscape design and horticulture science are two of my majors before I studied architecture. Therefore I like every beauty of nature to be my design inspiration, from the pattern of the mineral crystal, palm tree leaf, flower petals, tree branch to the shape of the hill.

My name is Chiou, and I come from Taiwan.

Sustainability, Creativity, Meaning, Experience, and Comfortable are five design concerns always in my mind.
