| In the ancient myth, The Fountain of Youth is a spring that supposedly restores the youth of anyone who drinks or bathes in its waters. As its legendary name, The Fountain of Health ambulatory care center is aimed to restore every patient’s vitality and health, and it specializes in Alzheimer's disease, mental health, and primary care. It is an ambulatory care center incorporated in horticulture and music therapy facility. In the design concept of The Fountain of Health, it integrates with several environmental friendly strategies to decrease the environmental impact and pursue a more ecological outcome, like water wall, grass ramp, shading plant, rooftop reservoir, detention pond, rain garden, permeable pavement and green wall. And its concentric curve design comes from five circles of the healing garden; the five circles represent a close cooperation of doctors, families, friends, home and the patient himself, they are the fundamental elements for composing The Fountain of Youth ambulatory care center. The Fountain of Youth ambulatory care center is an integrated project of landscape and architecture design. It has several kinds of the garden which can process the horticulture therapy or provide a relaxing place for patients and visitors. Also, the garden offers a natural look for architecture and a connection between ground and the roof. |
